Leading technology website, VentureBeat, featured OurCrowd portfolio company Nextpeer, which has developed a platform that allows any iOS developer to easily integrate a first-class multiplayer experience into their games. Nextpeer made its name by turning single-player mobile games into multiplayer challenges. Now it is launching software to enable game developers to add a social layer to their games to increase engagement and improve the discovery of new games. Tel Aviv, Israel-based Nextpeer’s new cross-platform social software development kit attacks the big problem of how developers can get discovered in an app store full of a million games. The social layer adds features that make it more likely for people to try new games, such as multiplayer gameplay, friend invitations, and seeing what your friends are playing. Nextpeer raised $325,000 from OurCrowd investors in December 2012, $350,000 in its 2nd round of investment in March 2013 and $660,000 in its 3rd round of investment in January 2014. Read more on...

N-trig is led by CEO Dan Inbar who took over from Amichai Ben-David 18 months ago, and includes 170 employees. Founded in 1999, N-trig changed its business model in 2011 to focus on digital pens. OurCrowd portfolio company The Trendlines Group was featured in the Times of Israel, an English-language news website covering Israel, the region & the Jewish world. The Trendlines Group establishes, invests in, and develops innovation-based medical and agritech businesses that improve the human condition. Trendlines has two incubators in Israel, one concentrating on medical devices, and the other on agtech. The firm invests in the companies it sponsors in the incubators, and helps them achieve exits (Trendlines has done four exits in the past 16 months, said Dollinger). Both those areas are in great demand in China, and Chinese firms are actively looking for help. Chinese partners and investors were present at Trendlines’ recent investment conference, where over 500 people came to see presentations by 13 companies in the medical device and agtech fields.
